I'm a communications specialist with nearly 10 years' experience as a text sub-editor on national and regional newspapers, including five years as a chief sub-editor or deputy chief sub-editor. I also have over six years' experience as an English language teacher in the UK, Korea and New Zealand. I have also worked as a website copywriter and media monitor.

I'm an experienced layout sub-editor and designer. I have led teams of sub-editors laying out pages for the New Zealand Herald and a number of regional newspapers. I am well versed in picture selection and enhancement, page design principles and working to deadlines.
